www.resdax.se - for local adventure activities including boat hire, waterskiing, canoeing and bike hire. They also have a spa facility overlooking the lake. They are located by the lake in Ulricehamn, near the pier.

www.uc-skidcenter.se - Ulricehamn's ski 'resort' - 10 minutes from Lyckebo.

Eating:

Bryggan - Nice location for a drink, an ice cream or a meal by the lake

www.ulricehamnskallbad.se  - More upmarket restaurant on the pier in Ulricehamn. You can also have a spa (and a dip in the lake too)

www.asundsholm.se - Nice restaurant for lunch or dinner overlooking Asunden lake, in Vegby. Check for opening hours

Shopping:

www.gallstad.nu - the shopping metropolis of Gallstad - people travel for miles to go there - only 30 kms from Lyckebo.

There are some nice shops in Ulricehamn too.

Boras (30 min drive):

www.boraszoo.se - a must for the kids

There is a great swimming pool in the middle of Boras, Boras Stadsparkbadet, with slides, wave machine, jacuzzis etc.

And some great restaurants in the centre of town.

Gothenburg and the west coast archipelago (1 hour drive):

 www.liseberg.se - the famous theme park in Gothenburg - bigger and better than Tivoli!
